After years of research and hands-on experience, I have been asked what can make the greatest difference to work with the least amount of effort. This degrades relationships and leads to the stress, mistrust, and low productivity often experienced today. The solution I found and validated was: · an easy and fast way to plan and keep plans updated, · an automated ToDo list for everyone (so they know what to do and don’t forget), and · real-time feedback (so everyone is kept informed about what is happening) The most important requirement was to match the way people want to work, because everyone wants to do a great job – you just need to make it easy for them to do it. As I found many years ago, each task is not complex. Complexity occurs when you try to do a number of tasks at the same time – that is, the real world. Fortunately technology is good at handling complexity, so managers and people only need to handle simple plans. Big plans (like projects or strategies) are just a lot of simple plans joined together feeding ToDo lists.
